OUTSIDE OF OUR NORMAL WORKING HOURS – PLEASE CALL 01273 566993
Our out of hours cover changed in July 2018, to provide our staff with adequate rest periods. This is to keep in line with EU directives. Our normal opening hours will remain unchanged. We have chosen to use Pets Emergency Treatment Service (PETS) as our out of hours clinic.
We may cover our own out of hours some of the time during longer periods of surgery closure, such as Bank Holidays, Easter and Christmas.
PETS provides a dedicated out of hours service for many Veterinary practices in East & West Sussex. The out of hours emergency service provides a fully staffed team, including an onsite vet during out of hours. This service is similar to the Accident and Emergency Department of a hospital.
The out of hour’s consultation fee varies and could be between £106 and £167. You will be informed of the consultation fee during the initial phone call.
In the unfortunate circumstance of your pet needing to be hospitalised, your pet will be transferred back to us during opening hours once deemed stable enough to travel. The transfer of your pet can be organised by the clinic, but some clients prefer to travel their pet back to us themselves.
The emergency clinic will send us all the history, including x-rays, blood results and details of any treatment provided, the following day. They will also provide phone advice if required
