BVetMed MRCVSMarie studied at the Royal Veterinary College, and has worked around the local area for her entire career. She opened her own clinic in 2009, and enjoys all aspects of her work, particularly endoscopy, keyhole and soft tissue surgeries and feline geriatric medicine.

Vicki Shears
Practice Manager
RVNVicki qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2005, and has worked across many areas of veterinary nursing, including emergency medicine, veterinary hospital and referral services. She was a Practice Manager of a large Vetrinary Hopital for 20years before joining Mid Sussex in June 2024. Vicki enjoys spending time with her big family and ever extending animal family.

Head Nurse
RVNSally qualified as an RVN in 2021 and worked in a Veterinary Hospital specialising on Orthopaedics. She enjoys all areas of Veterinary Nursing and joined Mid Sussex this year. In the evenings and weekends Sally enjoys spending time with her cat that rules the house.

Lottie Newman-Smith

RVNAfter qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse in 1996, Lottie gained experience working in many areas of veterinary nursing, including emergency medicine. She joined us as a locum initially, before becoming a permanent member of the team in 2016. She spends most of her spare time with her family and their black and white cat, Kevin.

RVNSince qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse in 2001, Claire has gained extensive experience in small animal practices across West Sussex. She has been with our team since 2018, and enjoys spending her spare time with her family.

RVNBeth started at Mid Sussex as a Student Veterinary Nurse, Since qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse in 2024, Beth has continued developing her skills, supporting our new Student Nurse and always helping our clients.

RVNSarah started at Mid Sussex Vets on 2024. She has worked in several emergency clinics in Brighton before starting her family. She is now part time and enjoys nurse clinics.

Georgia started with Mid Sussex Vets in 2024 for her third year of training. With prior experience in the army she realised her passion in animal care.

BVM&S MRCVSPiya qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2005. She has a keen interest in many aspects of veteinary care but also enjoys surgery. In her spare time she like to swim and climb.

MRCVSHayley has been in practice for 7 years now. With plenty of experience Hayley decided to start a Cardiology certificate and is working hard to improve her skills in this area, whilst also being a mum of two young boys.
